Description: Wheaton College, a private four-year liberal arts college in Norton, Massachusetts (www.wheatonma.edu), seeks qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position in Modern/Contemporary art history at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2009. Teaching responsibilities comprise courses at all undergraduate levels, from the late eighteenth century to the present, including a component of the introductory survey; experience in teaching contemporary theory would be especially welcomed.

Requirements: Qualified candidates should demonstrate their ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate level and to conduct and disseminate innovative research. Ph.D. in art history should be completed by August 2009.
