Administrative Assistant, Admission Programs

Term: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Reports to: Associate Director, Admission

Description: The Administrative Assistant for Admission Programs will provide general office and administrative support to the Office of Admission with specific focus on coordinating Admission Open House/Visiting Day programs. Specifically, the Administrative Assistant will assist with planning and coordinating the logistics of all Admission Open House/Visiting Day programs, including preparation of invitations, registration, room reservations, food arrangements, guest speakers, mailings and communication materials, etc. The Administrative Assistant will also be responsible for data entry, supervision of student office assistants and will provide back-up office reception support. Some evenings and/or weekend work may be required during peak periods.

Requirements: High school diploma and minimum of three years' office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Advanced education and previous experience in high education administration work is preferred. Excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of Word and Excel are essential. Must be detail oriented and possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Must be able to effectively manage multiple priorities and able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. The successful candidate will also be flexible and possess a strong service orientation.

Salary: Office/Clerical Grade 4
