ANNUAL FUND/ LEADERSHIP GIFTS OFFICER

Term: Full-time, 12 months

Reports to: Director of Annual Giving

Description: The Annual Fund/Leadership Gifts Officer will be responsible for increasing the number of leadership donors and gifts to the Annual Fund through the identification, solicitation and cultivation of leadership prospects and donors. Specifically, the Leadership Gifts Officer will manage a personal prospect load of Annual Fund rated leadership donors, conduct personal visits to donors and prospects, develop cultivation and solicitation strategies, solicit and close gifts ranging from $1000 - $50,000, and ensure appropriate stewardship of gifts. In addition, the Annual Fund/Leadership Gifts Officer will recruit, support and manage volunteers in class-based and committee efforts.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of fundraising experience in higher education or a similar setting or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Previous experience in direct solicitation and volunteer management is essential. Must be detail oriented and possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and oral and written communications skills. This position requires travel and the ability to work some evenings and weekends as necessary. Individuals must possess these knowledges, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

Salary: Administrative/Professional Grade 4
