Graduation requirements

For Students who enrolled before September 2003

It is your responsibility to know and follow all curricular requirements for earning the Wheaton A.B. degree. These requirements are outlined in the College Catalog and include the General Education Curriculum, Major Program, the Physical Education and Work and Public Service requirements.

While your advisor will seek to guide you through the various parts and requirements of the Wheaton curriculum, he or she is not responsible for your fulfilling them. You should review curriculum requirements in the Catalog on a regular basis to determine your progress. Use your Academic Portfolio Checklist as one way to keep track

Credits

32 academic credits

  • 16 in residence (earned through Wheaton College)
  • last 8 in residence (earned through Wheaton College)
  • no more than 16 in major; half of major earned at Wheaton College

    2 Physical Education credits

    Requirements to be completed:

  • 13 General Education classes
  • Major
  • minimum half at Wheaton
  • A minimum of one entry on your Work and Public Service Record, maintained by the Filene Center, documenting learning associated with work, volunteer or leadership activities.

    Standards:

  • 2.0 GPA overall
  • 2.0 GPA in Major
