Event Description
The National Symphony Orchestra's principal trombonist, Milt Stevens, leads a masterclass with Washington, DC-based military trombonists and his trombone studio at the University of Maryland, and Traverse City, Michigan's Interlochen Arts Academy. Thank you to Mr. Stevens, the bands of the United States Air Force, Army, Navy, Naval Academy, Marines; and Interlochen Arts Academy!

- University of Maryland's Trombone Choir performs.
- University of Maryland's Graduate Trombone Quartet performs.
- Trombonists from the United States military bands perform.
- Military players discuss their careers.
- Interlochen Arts Academy trombonists perform excerpts from the Hindemith "Symphony in Bb for Wind Ensemble" and receive comments from Mr. Stevens and the military trombone players.
- Mr. Stevens leads a short lecture/demo on ensemble intonation.
- Final wrap-up with combined trombonists from the U.S. military and the University of Maryland.
