Public Viewing Nights

The Wheaton College Observatory is open to the public on clear Friday nights during Wheaton's school year.

Weather conditions sometimes force the cancellation of open houses, so please contact the Observatory Information Line (508-286-3937) in the early evening of a given Friday to confirm the observatory schedule. Please remember to dress warmly in cold weather, as the observing deck is outside.

THE OBSERVATORY IS CLOSED FOR THE 2004 SUMMER BREAK.

GROUP VISITS
The Observatory staff welcomes pre-scheduled small groups to visit our facilities on public viewing nights. For safety reasons, we are unable to accommodate groups over 25 at any one time, but we are happy to split larger groups for multiple visits. We ask that all groups larger than 10 arrange their visits to the observatory so that we can manage the number of visitors to our program. Please contact the Observatory Director at 508-286-3979 to arrange your visit.
