Digital Image Tools for Faculty

ARTstor or MDID?

ARTstor

ARTSTOR CAN NOW SUPPORT PERSONAL IMAGES. ARTstor recently announced that it now supports personal image uploading. Faculty can take either personal images, or images downloaded from the college's collection in MDID, and include them in groups of ARTstor images. These groups can then be used for class presentation as well as for online student study.

MDID

This new tool is called MDID, short for the James Madison Digital Image Database. MDID now hosts the college's digital image collection, found formerly in ISIS. You may download images from MDID and use the "Personal Collection" feature in ARTstor to upload MDID images into your ARTstor groups. Please contact Scott or Chrissa for more infrmation and instruction.

Support

Scott Hamlin, x3767, shamlin@wheatonma.edu is available to meet with faculty to discuss individual image needs. Scott and other LIS staff are also available to give demonstrations to classes, teaching student how to access images for study using either tool.
