WHAT: Change to on-campus telephone dialing procedure
WHEN: Available immediately
WHY: To eliminate false 911 calls
Please start with "6" to get a dial tone for your local and 800 number
calls. To help you get used to this change, "9" will continue to work
through the month of July -- and will stop working on August 1, 2006.
Continue to initiate your long-distance calls with "7".
This change is part of a continuing commitment from LIS to improve
technology services for our community. If you have any questions or
