Twig deal
Visiting "stick artist" Patrick Dougherty has created an intricate outdoor sculpture at Wheaton with the hands-on assistance of students and other volunteers. His three-week residency will culminate in a lecture on September 19. Check out the project website for photos and more details.
Academic crossroads

ATHLETICS
Off to a fine start
The fall sports season is underway, and several teams are enjoying early success. Women's soccer, ranked 13th nationally, is 6-1. Men's soccer, which stands fifth in the region, is 2-0-2, while women's tennis, ranked 24th in the Northeast, is a perfect 5-0. (Read more.)
