JOB TITLE: Resident Assistant (2 positions available)
Needed for English as a Second Language Summer Program
LOCATION: Wheaton College (Center for Global Education)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Live on campus with international high school age students.
• Nights are required on campus 8pm-7am. • Daytime off from 7am until 8pm (except during check in)
• Monitor and supervise students/dorms throughout the night
• Attend planning meetings
• Coordinate and supervise check-in/check-out of all groups.
• Assist with airport transfers when needed.
• Report to Associate Director of the Center for Global Education
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous RA experience and training required
• Previous experience working at summer residential camps a plus.
• Excellent communication skills
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with multi-cultural groups.
• Good sense of humor a must.
• CPR and Lifesaving certificate a plus.
• Cell phone necessary
WAGE: Stipend: $150.00 plus room and board on campus

1 Activities Counselor
1 Sports Counselor Needed for English as a Second Language Summer Program
LOCATION: Wheaton College (Center for Global Education)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Live on campus with international high school age students.
• Plan, produce, supervise and participate in afternoon and evening activities and excursions daily.
• Time off is arranged Mon-Fri mornings when students are in class, plus 1 day per week. Nights are required on campus.
• Plan assigned sightseeing excursion transportation routes and schedule
• Lead excursions throughout Boston, New York, Newport, RI and Cape Cod• Monitor and supervise students/dorms throughout the night
• Work closely with international group leaders and staff to produce program
• Attend daily planning meetings
• Coordinate and supervise check-in/check-out of all groups.
• Assist with airport transfers when needed.
• Supervise students to ensure safety at all times.
• Report to Associate Director of the Center for Global Education
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous experience planning, organizing, and operating projects or programs.
• Previous experience working at summer residential camps a plus.
• Skills in sports or activities, (i.e. basketball, soccer, swimming, volleyball), games, team/group activities
• Familiar with major sightseeing activities in Boston, New York, Cape Cod, Newport, RI
• Ability to work well with international students, group leaders, and staff
• Self-starter, enthusiastic, able to engage teens to participate in activities
• Excellent communication skills
